I am Kimberly Hawthorne, a writer and copy editor living in Chicago, the city of big shoulders. I work as a marketing associate at a legal software company, where I write web copy and press releases, plan events and produce videos.

While I may never use e=mc2, Einstein’s philosophy best describes my writing and editing. I value clear and concise writing and am a thorough, borderline obsessed, copy editor. In 2011, I graduated with a degree in Agricultural Communications/Journalism — an unconventional discipline that taught me to hit deadlines like clockwork and compost food scraps.
I’m also a Francophile, cat lover (but not cat lady) and an avid thrifter for vintage clothing.
